This article summarizes all the tips that should be taken into account when you want to get rid of unwanted guests in your home as efficiently and quickly as possible. Some species are more persistent than others, but with the current agents available to us, getting rid of insects is guaranteed.
1. Clean up. Get rid of all piles of paper, recycled paper and cardboard. Remove items from the floors and shelves. Vacuum floors very well and then dusting with a wet wipe and washing the floors. Lemon or Lime scented detergents are good. Make sure that no tempting foods or crumbs are left exposed.
3. If there are only a few pests, e.g. silverfish, you will cope well with the problem. Cleaning, chlorite for the drain and possibly, some insect spray for the places of occurrence according to the instructions.
5. Along with poisoning, you can spray the lavender extract/water mixture in places where you don’t want to come into contact with any pests. In addition, you can at least order pieces of cedar wood, the smell of which repels pests.
7. Keep a positive attitude. You can get rid of pests with a systematic and persistent fight. Sometimes it takes several poisonings for larger strains to disappear.

In the house we just bought, the population of long-tailed silverfish was huge, and in order to get rid of it, we have taken poisonings from a company specializing in pest control 4 times. 6 months have passed since the first poisoning and now it seems that there are no more larvae. However, there may still be surprises, because only three weeks have passed since the last poisoning. We are very relieved that it is really starting to look like we can get rid of long-tailed silverfish, but it requires a lot of patience and a little humor. The long-tailed silverfish is a really tenacious species and difficult to get rid of. In addition, they seem to be comfortable in almost any kind of space.
